Newest Updates via @megsteedle :

Two years ago I started pre-production on an independent musical short. Somewhere along the way it’s become the biggest - and most challenging - creative project of my life.

These last two years I’ve lost sleep, worked my butt off to keep things moving forward on indie budgets, lost my acting agent (and with it, the creative routine I’d known for 15 years), interviewed so many brilliant potential collaborators (who wanted to work with me?!) : I’ve learned to shot list, edit, write/rewrite a song in 24 hours, basics of music production, chord theory, and completely changed what my day-to-day looks like.

WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO

I’ve also delighted more, grown so much, squealed with joy, and literally jumped up and down more than I have in years.

I feel like a kid again.

So … two years behind the camera to **start** to figure out what it means to be a bigger part of the storytelling machine - with a bunch of ridiculously talented people too. It’s hands down the coolest and most exhausting thing I’ve ever done.

My brain hurts, but I also knew this is what I needed to do next.

We’re getting close now - can’t wait for you to meet this world.

And yes— there’s a soundtrack!! (**squeal**)
