Meg is developing her first original musical film entitled Pop Screen. Meg wrote the script and music for the story, and was a finalist for the prestigious Outstanding Screenplays Competition $10,000 grant. Production is currently underway. For more information and ways to support, check out Pop Screen‘s official website

#MeetTheCast! — Stanley Sievers (@stanleyws ) plays our studio engineer, ‘John,’ and had us laughing from the moment we saw his audition. He didn’t let up throughout our 4-day shoot in December - in the POP SCREEN footage, at “cut!” you can hear the crew bursting into suppressed laughter at the end of several of his takes.

Stanley brings an incredible blend of honesty, humor, and heart to his portrayal of ‘John.’ He and our engineer consultant, John Armstrong, (@analogarchitects ) clicked instantly — it felt like Stanley had been working at @conwayrecordingstudios for years. He fits so naturally into the world of our film.

‘John’ is the anchor of @popscreenfilm — the embodiment of the incredible people who keep the music industry running from behind the scenes, and we can’t imagine anyone else in this role.

So lucky to have you, Stanley.

It’s my bday today! In these 🌬️🎂 pics from last year, I made a big wish for the courage and resources to finally direct my own film. Proud to say it’s all happening, and this year, I want to celebrate by officially crossing the finish line with the ppl who have helped me make @popscreenfilm a reality. 🎬

In my bio is a link to a special wishlist to support our upcoming one-day pickup shoot- the final piece to our production puzzle. Any giving is tax-deductible, and instead of presents/birthday drinks, please consider a small gift of $10 dollars towards the film. Your support would mean the world to me.

If you’re looking to support in a larger way, you will also find donation amounts to cover a meal for our team, a paycheck for our crew, or a key part of the shoot (again, tax-deductible!). Every piece of support is felt, and it all goes directly towards the people who are helping me make this happen.

You all - friends, family, followers - have all given me that courage and those resources to move past just being an actor and into the director space – to have the courage to make my own stories and pick my own collaborators, rather than just wait to be hired. Thank you.

The link is live in my bio, and whether you donate or just support me as a friend during this new/scary/exciting/hard/rewarding endeavor, I’m so grateful for you in my life 💛✨

How it started….
Crazy that walking the @sagawards carpet for #BoardwalkEmpireHBO was over a decade ago now. Wrote the melody to Billie’s hummingbird song the night before my audition—had no clue it’d help launch me on this wild ride.

Now, still writing music, but for my own stories. Directing. Coaching. Lowkey might like doing some of this more than acting…not that she has to choose.

‘She flits..she flies…she floats through the air…’🪶🎵

*** EDIT: Came back because something felt off—this post is one of those highlight reels. It doesn’t show the failures, the occasional laziness, the shame of not repeating a big success (like walking the SAG carpet over a decade ago), or the fear our stock is falling. Just want to say—staying creative and open to whatever life throws at you is hard, period. I’m starting to see light in realizing we have the power (and the tools now) to shape our own stories and define for ourselves who we are creatively and beyond. Took me a long time to step up to that. Let’s all keep going yall 🫶
